On your mark, get set, go!

We walked up KT for one of the last times while we live here. Adaline and jack walked the whole way up. From the top you can see Ko’olau Mountains which I could see every morning from our dinning table while drinking my coffee,  the twin islands where we hiked up lanaki and watched the sun set up over the islands, Kaneohe bay where we took a boat out to the sandbar to snorkel and spend the day, China mans hat where we walked across the shallows to the island and hike around, secret beach our favorite beach here and pyramid rock beach which supposedly has some of the best surfing on island. We’ve been blessed to live here and have all these adventures. I’m so happy to be leaving but I’m definitely going to miss this place.

Jack got a special award today at school for his “can do attitude”. There were a handful of students from the huge kindergarten class that were awarded this. He was pretty bummed out accepting his award because he didn’t think we were there. After the ceremony we went to tell him congratulations and he was so excited we were there and gave us a big thumbs up.

Adaline loves her some Lenard’s maladadas! We’ll miss their donut truck!

Jack loves awana! He’s been working really hard learning as many bible verses as he can to earn as many jewels as he can before we leave!

We had conferences with jack’s teacher today. He tested above and beyond the other kids in his grade. Most kids score 2’s or 3’s on their reports and jack scored 3’s and 4’s. Also he knew words they haven’t taught in class yet as well as addition which isn’t expected until first grade here in Hawaii. His teacher said he’s a great student and a great kid. So after supper tonight we got to go for an “awesome job” treat to baskin robins! We’re super proud of this smarty pants!
