Advent calendar day 1!

Jacks pants fit him last week but this week they’re looking a little short…

These two were troopers today while we waited for 3.5 hours to get the trucks oil changed. 

We went to the tree lighting ceremony again this year! The kids had fun with the “snow” in the desert and loved seeing Santa and the Grinch. 

It was the parents picnic at the kids school for their lunch times. Mom picked up happy meals and got to have lunch with each kid individually! 

Adaline had never liked “taco skins” (tortillas) and had been eating her taco meat on chips instead. We told her recently that the next time we had tacos she had to have it on a shell not chips. She gobbled the first one up and asked for another. 

Took these kids on a low key date today since they did errands with me. Panera it was! Mac and cheese, soups and sandwiches.

These two had a pretty good Halloween! They got to show their Barbie and knight costumes off to dad while we were out and each came home with a huge bag of candy. 

They had to clean dog poo in the yard this morning and it was 56 degrees so we had unicorn hot cocoa when they came back in

This was the 3rd time they dressed up this week and the first I took pictures! We had the Jack-o-Lanter Jubilee and they had so much fun!

Some days they make me want to rip my hair out and other days they make my heart explode. 

Adaline asked to read to Jack and he’s being so patient letting her sound out the big words and helping if she’s struggling. 

Cheer today was a parents weekend! We got to go cheer with ads. I sent Jack out for a bit too and he was not amused!

We’re all pretty tired and emotional today so we’re playing hooky. No better way to make some smiles than to build a fort.

J tried packing the kids in his carry on and they just wouldn’t fit. Saying “See ya later” is never easy. Jack is putting on a brave face but he’s pretty sad and Adaline is taking it really hard. 

Jacks last soccer game of the season. Their team took 3rd out of 3 teams. It was not an all star team but you could tell the improvement of all the players by the end of the season. Instead of final score being 8-0 it was 3-1.  Jack took a ball to the face at one of the first games and he was pretty hesitant after that but this game he got in there at mid-field and stopped the ball a handful of times. It was all around a great season and they fought hard.

A teacher at the kids school bought all the students solar eclipse glasses so we could see it this weekend! The kids were super excited and loved watching

Gymnastics last week! 

 Another Cheer weekend. Adaline got to do some stunting! 

Spent the morning making a paper chain so we can count the number of days until dad comes back 

The cooler mornings are letting us get out again! 

Mom couldn’t make it to soccer but dad did! Dad said he did pretty good but he’s hesitant after taking a ball to the face last week.
