Her animal assigned to her for her science project is a Tiger and she didn’t want to learn about tigers today, so homework isn’t going well.

We downloaded the SkyView app on our phones so we could drive further out into the desert and see the stars in the pitch darkness. The kids really enjoyed lining up the app with the sky to learn the constellation names. We found a few planets, the international space station, the Milky Way, and some shooting stars.

Momma did all the Thanksgiving cooking this morning and by afternoon we were decorating the Christmas tree. Of course our Santa hats came out too! The kids had a fun day

After a week of just the kids and I while J was in the field, we were able to go to the tree lighting ceremony on base tonight as a family. Adaline got her face painted like a cat, they saw a few school friends, we had hot cocoa and cookies provided by the USO, they met Santa and Mrs. Clause, made decorations for our tree, they danced and had fun. We’re so grateful for events like this that we can all be there for. These kids are growing up way too fast.

Adaline had a blue note day at school. She says that means she had a stellar day listening and following directions.

Holding sister up to see out of the peephole

Jack got all of his spelling words right and even the two bonus words. He was so proud to bring it home today. Both kids are working very hard in school!

The kids got to pin dads new rank on him this morning before school. They did great! And we’re super proud of J!
